According to a June 2011 report from
ExactTarget, data from "Mobile Dependence Day" shows that the
smartphone market has seen explosive growth in recent years, and,
based on market trends, expected to continue. In February 2011,
comScore reported that US smartphone usage had grown by 60% in the
previous 12 months, as the total number of Americans using
smartphones rose to 63.2 million in 4Q 2010.
